Polyethylene Acrylic Sheet and Sticks, Led Lamps, Metal Wires and Screws
The Hexagon Ceiling lamp is designed to understand and examine the replication of Bencore Hexaben material. The goal of this project is researching the unique materials around the world that were manufactured in specific places and learning how to transfer them into functional products.
An acrylic sheet is a laser-cut into hexagon shapes and glued to each other with special acrylic cement. Later, the inside hexagon shape is cut and sandwiched between the acrylic sheets that are held together with screws. The led lights are attached later on on the top part in order to reflect the light.
